Pink hard hats for Breast Cancer Awareness.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Afterglow, Waterloo’s local Heating and Cooling Experts are launching their annual Pink Hard hat Campaign.  Afterglow will donate $5 for every service call in the month of October to the Canadian Cancer Society.

“We started this campaign last year and it was really successful. As a local company we want to raise awareness and money for the local chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society,” says Stephen McDonald, Afterglow GM.

Breast cancer affects 1 in 9 Canadian women during their lifetime.  This year nearly 24,000 Canadian women and men will be diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Afterglow pink hard hat campaign raised more $2000 in 2012.  The company is hoping to raise more this year. We need your help! Tell your family, neighbours, and co-workers to call Afterglow for their annual fall-furnace servicing. Every service call is another $5 to cancer research.
